Art Estopinan, Of Counsel, recently established The Estopinan Group, a government relations, business development and political consulting firm with locations in Baltimore, Maryland and at the offices of Alcalde & Fay. The Estopinan Group advises clients on federal issues, business development in both the U.S. and global markets, and strategic planning for entities in need of crisis management by identifying appropriate steps to pursue within the U.S. Congress and federal government. The Estopinan Group also provides strategic and tactical advice to presidential candidates around the world.

 

Before joining Alcalde & Fay, Mr. Estopinan served as Chief of Staff for Chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (Chairwoman Emeritus for the House Foreign Affairs Committee) for 27 years. In this capacity, Mr. Estopinan was the senior advisor for governmental and foreign affairs legislation; served as a public and media relations spokesperson; engaged in grassroots programs; and acted as the chief political strategist and coordinator of political events nationwide.  Mr. Estopinan boasts an in-depth understanding of economic and political infrastructures, in addition to first-hand experience in public policy and the general political arena worldwide. Mr. Estopinan has expertise in Latino and Inter-American policy issues in both mature and emerging markets, as well as extensive foreign relations experience in Asia, Europe, Australia, South America, and Africa.

 

A native of Miami, Mr. Estopinan received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. He is also a graduate of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Miami Program and currently serves as a mentor for underprivileged students at Georgetown University, where he counsels them on educational opportunities and professional responsibilities.
